What are cookies in a browser?
Cookies are small files a site saves in your browser so it remembers you, like the fact that you’re signed in and what’s in your cart. They have nothing to do with biscuits but the name.
Why does every site ask you to accept them?
Some the site needs in order to work, and some are placed by ad companies to track you from site to site and show you ads as they please. Privacy laws in many countries require sites to ask you before the second kind, so an “Accept” pop-up appears.
Should I delete them?
You can delete them from your browser’s settings, but you’ll be signed out of your accounts on those sites and lose your settings there.
