What is a prompt?
A prompt is the request you type to an AI program, a question or an instruction, and the program answers you or does what you asked as far as it understood you.
How do you write a prompt that gets results?
Say exactly what you want, who it’s for and in what shape. “Write a short, formal apology to a customer whose order is late” gets a far better result than “write a message”.
And if you don’t like the answer, build on it: “shorter”, or “lighter in tone”.
What is prompt engineering?
A name for the skill of wording requests to get the best answer. It helps with big jobs; your everyday requests don’t need it.
