What is an ad blocker (Adblock)?

An ad blocker, or Adblock as people call it, is a tool that stops ads before they load on the page, so the page comes out cleaner. It comes as an extension you install in the browser, or built into the browser itself.

How does it work?

It keeps lists of the addresses of ad and tracking companies, and anything the page asks for from an address on those lists, it stops before it arrives.

An extension, or built in?

An extension you download from the extension store and give permission to read the pages you open. A built-in blocker is part of the browser, so you don’t install anything or hand your permissions to a third party.

In m7bok

Blocking is built in and works from the moment you open it, with no extensions and no settings.
